Some people just do not like the feel of headsets and choose the microphone/ speaker option. While this has some limitations to you and the people in rooms around you, it is nice not having anything attached to your body while playing. Also it is very frustrating spaying with someone using this method due to unwanted noice being transmitted on the voice server from the microphone picking up the speaker noise. Don't forget to turn off the voice activation mode while "in game".
